Introduction¶
PsiExp is a program developed for psychoacoustic experiments, which generate precisely determined sounds in response to a listener’s gestures, and change the sound’s parameters as a function of these gestures under the control of a complex algorithm. This algorithm also modifies the listener’s interface as the experiment proceeds. Finally, the gestures, parameters, and procedural seqence can be recorded in one or more freely formattable text files, which can serve as the primary record of the experiment.
